Specimen Requirement
Male Collection:
Collect urine in a sterile screw capped container (2 mL minimum) or an Alinity Multi-Collect transport tube. If using a multi-collect transport tube, urine level must fall within the box on the side of the transport tube.
Alternate specimen: Urethral swab in an Alinity Multi-collect transport tube.
Female Collection:
Collect Urethral or vaginal swab in an Alinity Multi-collect transport tube.
Urine is not acceptable for Mycoplasma testing on females.
If swab is collected, indicate source on tube.
