2 mL serum from SST or Red Top. If collecting SST, allow to clot for 30 minutes, then centrifuge.

Electrophoresis followed by immunodiffusion against monospecific antisera to immunoglobulin and individual heavy and light chains (IFE); turbidimetric quantitation of IgA, IgG, and IgM
