Clinical Use
Detect IgG antibodies specific to HSV types I and/or II infection; confirm or rule out possible infection with herpes simplex types I and/or II virus in prenatal patients in whom HSV infection can cause serious prenatal disease; identify those who are subclinical carriers of HSV I and/or II.
