1 Light-Blue Top/3.0 mL frozen sodium citrate plasma. Patients should not be receiving anticoagulants or other drugs known to cause non-specific changes in plasma protein fractions, e.g. estrogen, unless the test is being used to evaluate medication effect. Separate plasma and put plasma in plastic tube and freeze; indicate on transport tube specimen type. Call lab for dry ice for shipment.
